Big connection, Family love

We believe that children grow best when they feel safe, loved,
and secure. In our warm and nurturing environment, children are
encouraged to develop independence and confidence, so that
one day they can spread their wings and take their own steps
forward. At Nestling Nursery, we gently and thoughtfully support
each child’s growth at their own pace. We aim to create a
learning environment that feels warm and familiar, like a family,
while also being international and open-minded.

Our goal is to provide a place where parents feel the same
comfort and peace of mind as they do in their own home. With
this heartfelt wish, Nestling Nursery was born.

Sayaka Yamazato

I strive to share each child’s growth with their families by celebrating joyful moments together, navigating challenges side by side, and supporting every child with care and understanding. I hope that children feel happy, safe, and comfortable in our nursery, and that parents feel confident communicating with our staff and trusting in the care their child receives.

To uphold these values, I am committed to continuous learning, reflection, and growth each day.

❊ Testimonials

Trusted by Parents.

We are thrilled to be one of the first family at Nestling Nursery. Sayaka is the warmest and most welcoming caregiver for our two little boys. Her bright smile lights up each morning as she welcomes the children. We feel so comfortable with the teachers and the daily routine, which creates a home-like environment for the nursery family! Nestling Nursery strikes the perfect balance of keeping little ones close and supported while also giving them the tools to grow in their independence.

Sayaka did such an incredible job caring for our daughter. When our daughter first started at daycare she cried so much, wouldn’t eat, took a long time to settle in. Sayaka cared for her like her own and really went above and beyond to help our daughter settle in. It was so reassuring as parents. It was clear she cares for. The care she provides is truly above the rest, and the ethic she has will shine brightly in her nursery. We would highly recommend Nestling Nursery to anyone.

Sayaka-san cared for our daughter from the time she was six months old, forming a natural and loving bond with her from the very beginning. Our daughter was always calm, happy, and comforted in her care, which gave us tremendous peace of mind as parents. We are deeply grateful for her warmth, patience, and genuine dedication, and we cannot recommend her highly enough.

ACTIVITIES

  • Soroban develops early math skills, number sense, and concentration through hands-on learning. Children visually understand numbers and build problem-solving skills in an enjoyable and engaging way.

  • Children experience traditional Okinawan arts such as Eisa, Sanshin, and Karate, fostering respect for culture and community. These activities develop rhythm, coordination, focus, and self-control while connecting children to Okinawa’s cultural heritage.

  • Pianica activities help children develop musical awareness, rhythm, and listening skills. Coordinating breath and finger movements improves concentration and fine motor skills, while making music together encourages self-expression and enjoyment.

  • Gymnastics supports balance, flexibility, and overall body control. Through age-appropriate movement, children build physical strength, confidence, and the ability to follow instructions, fostering healthy development and self-discipline.

  • Art activities encourage creativity and self-expression while developing fine motor skills and emotional awareness. Children gain confidence and joy through creating their own unique artwork.

  • Swimming builds physical strength, coordination, and confidence in the water. Children learn basic water safety skills while developing perseverance and self-confidence through gradual progress. Group lessons also support social skills and cooperation.

Toilet Learning Support from Infancy

Led by a certified Toilet Training Advisor, we provide individualized toilet learning support that builds confidence through positive routines.

  • We offer gentle toilet training support from birth, respecting each child’s natural development and readiness. By observing babies’ cues and responding with care—without pressure or expectations—we honor each child’s individual rhythm and support healthy body and brain development through everyday caregiving.

  • Babies have awareness of their own bodily sensations from 0 years old. When adults notice elimination cues and respond gently with words and care, the natural connection between the brain and body develops in a healthy way.

  • • Sensory Development•

Experiencing elimination sensations helps the brain learn to recognize signals from the body.

    • Foundation for Self-Regulation•

Experiences such as “waiting” and “communicating” support the development of the prefrontal cortex.

    • Language and Communication•

Through gentle verbal interaction, language becomes meaningfully connected to experience.

    • Emotional Security and Self-Worth•

Being accepted—even when things don’t go as planned—supports emotional stability and positive self-esteem.

  • Diapers are used as needed. Nothing is forced. Each child’s individual pace is respected. We value awareness and responsiveness over success or achievement.

  • Elimination is not “discipline,” but a natural part of growth and learning. We trust in babies’ natural abilities and prioritize relationships that are safe, gentle, and reassuring.
